Just got done with my second day of exercises. To put it simply I think I sweat enough raise the sea level an inch. I'm known to run hotter than most all of my friends which is great in the cold... but when it comes to working out my body is like OMG TOO MUCH HEAT and it just opens the flood gates. I've actually been known to use this to my advantage while playing Ultimate Frisbee. I always end up shirtless and I use my soaking body as a deterrent to opposing players with the misfortune to get to close :).
I noticed when i woke up that my calves were really stiff from the jumps we did the day before. I dreaded having to do the jumps all over again just because it felt like they were going to explode if I did anything. However once I was done I noticed that not only had I only tripped up a few times, but my legs actually felt better. I felt as though today was easier for some reason.
Ah jumping calves...after a while you will figure out how to sort of springy bounce on the balls of your feet, flexing with your knees and hips, and taking some stress off the calves. Plus your legs will get crazy stronger, too. Just keep cranking for another 3 months!
ReplyDeleteAh yes, the jump rope will come to you quick, my son.
ReplyDeleteI, too, sweat profusely. Like a man, really. Lately, it hasn't been as bad with the humidity a little lower and the heat turned down a notch. Still, when I run, I usually soak a shirt through.
